Snippet detector

How to use it

  1. Open the snippet detector to see pages eligible for featured snippets and other SERP features. (SEO → Snippets)
  2. Apply the suggested edits to match the winning format.
  3. Re-check as pages start capturing the snippet.

⏱ ~10 min per page · 💳 Pro · 🎯 Take the answer box above the normal results

Why this matters for your business

Featured snippets (the "answer box" at the top of Google results) sit above the normal listings and take a large share of the clicks on queries that have one. Other SERP features — knowledge panels, image carousels, FAQ snippets, shopping units — similarly capture attention before a shopper reaches the blue links. Winning one lifts traffic to a page without its underlying ranking changing at all, which is what makes them worth chasing separately from rank.

But winning featured snippets is non-obvious — you need to match the format Google expects (definition, list, table) + have the right schema + answer the question concisely. Most brands rank well but don't win the snippet because they don't optimize for it explicitly.

The snippet detector identifies pages eligible for featured snippets (close to ranking + correct format) and suggests specific content edits to win them.

How teams use it

Setup. Brand ranked #4 for "how to use vitamin C serum" (high volume, informational intent).

Detector: "Eligible for definition snippet. Add 40-word definition near top, formatted as paragraph."

Action: Edited the post, added the definition.

How you know it worked: run a true-SERP sync on that keyword — the SERP-features column shows whether a featured snippet is present and whether you now hold it.

Scenario B — FAQ snippet across 30 pages

Setup. 30 product pages eligible for FAQ snippet.

Action: Bulk-add FAQ JSON-LD via content studio.

Then verify. Eligibility is not the same as winning the feature — Google decides. Re-check the SERP-features column across those keywords to see which ones actually took it.
